Chef Butch
Born in Bayreuth, Germany, where he began at a local butcher culinary school, Fleischerei Schulenburg, his passion for the culinary field grew tremendously. After graduating, he attended another culinary school in Pegnitz, Germany to become a head chef. He expanded his culinary skills by traveling all around Europe, including Austria, Spain, Switzerland, France, Netherlands, and Belgium, working in restaurants as a head chef. With the desire to be closer to family, and seeing an opportunity to create a career in America, he moved in with his cousin who lived in Miami, Florida. From then he was offered a position at the Schnitzel House and Hofbrau house as head chef. He was given the opportunity to join Chef Martin, both working as head chefs at Bavaria Pensacola. Chef Butch has been a vital part in building not only an authentic German menu but also an impressive team of hard working, dedicated kitchen staff.
Chef Martin
Born in Hamburg, Germany, Chef Martin developed a passion for cooking and decided he wanted to make a life-long career of it. His journey started by attending culinary school at The Prem Hotel and Restaurant, featured in The New York Times, where Martin created a reputation for himself as an up and coming young talent. After years of hard work and dedication to his craft, Martin graduated with a Chef Management degree. Upon graduation, Chef Martin worked in a variety of restaurants across Europe. With positions in Germany, Scotland, and Switzerland, he received work as both a Sous and Head Chef. Martin dreamed of moving to the United States ever since he was young, and his dreams came true when he was offered a head chef position at the Bavarian Haus and Hofbrau Haus, located in Miami, Florida. It is here he met his good friend Butch, our second head chef, and the two decided they should continue their journey together. After living in Miami for over a decade, Chef Martin and Chef Butch were given the opportunity to become head chefs at Bavaria Pensacola. Chef Martin is continuously striving to fulfill his vision, serve exceptional dishes, and provide an all-inclusive guest experience.
